No mystery score. Every row shows your measured value, the reference it is compared with, and how close the two are.

Face height / width

Forehead-to-chin distance compared with the width between the selected side-of-face points.

Eye spacing

The gap between the eyes compared with the width of one eye — the classical equal-spacing rule.

Mouth and nose

Mouth width relative to nose width, one of the oldest proportion rules in portrait drawing.

Face balance

Brow-to-nose length compared with nose-to-chin length — the vertical balance of the face.

Left / right balance

A simple mirror comparison of the eyes, cheeks, nose and mouth around the centre line.

Face and eye width

The width across the face at the cheeks compared with the span across both eyes.

Privacy

Your photo never
leaves your phone

Not "deleted after processing." Not "stored securely." Never transmitted at all — the measurement runs on your device, camera frames are never written to storage, and the analysis is discarded when you close the result.

Nothing is uploaded

There is no server that receives your photo, because there is no server in the analysis at all. The model runs inside the app.

No account, ever

No email, no sign-up, no profile. Open the app and measure. There is nothing for us to store, sell or lose.

No ads, no tracking

No advertising SDKs and no analytics following you between apps. PhiFace is submitted to Google Play with a "no data collected" declaration.

Not a beauty score

PhiFace measures geometry, not worth. A face that sits far from these ratios is not less attractive — Phi is one historical lens among many, and genuine research finds no single formula that decides who is beautiful.

We also won't pretend a phone camera is a medical instrument. PhiFace is designed for consistent, repeatable readings under good capture conditions — not clinical measurement, and never a prediction about surgery or cosmetic outcomes. It's math as a mirror, nothing more.

Questions

Straight answers

Is my photo really never uploaded?
Yes. The measurement model runs inside the app on your own device. Camera frames are held in memory only long enough to measure them, are never written to storage, and are never uploaded. There is no server and no upload step anywhere in the app.
Why can my result change between photos?
Camera distance, head angle, lighting and expression all change what a flat photo shows. PhiFace guides you toward a level, straight-on capture and tells you when a photo can't be measured confidently, rather than showing a number it can't stand behind.
What does the alignment number actually mean?
It's a simple summary of the six measurements compared with their reference values. A higher number means those proportions sit closer to those particular references. It is not a ranking of people and not a judgement about appearance.
Does a beard or glasses affect the result?
A heavy beard can make the chin point less certain, and PhiFace will tell you when a measurement isn't confident rather than guessing. Glasses are generally fine. Facial hair never invalidates a scan by itself.
Does it work offline?
The measurement itself always runs on your device. The face-measurement software (about 3 MB) downloads the first time you start a scan, and again if your phone clears the app's cache — so the very first scan needs a connection. That download sends no photo, no frames and no identifiers.
Is PhiFace free?
Yes. Measuring and viewing your full breakdown are free, with no account and no ads. Any optional extras added later would be offered through the standard Google Play and App Store purchase systems.
Does the app keep a history of my scans?
No. This version keeps no scan history. Closing the result screen discards the analysis. Anything you deliberately save — a share card — goes to your own photo library and stays under your control.
Can it measure more than one person in a photo?
No. If a scan or photo contains more than one face, the app stops without producing a result. It measures one face at a time, and it never attempts to recognise or identify anyone.
Is this medical or diagnostic?
No. PhiFace is a mathematical visualiser for facial proportions. It is not a medical device, offers no health advice, and makes no prediction about cosmetic or surgical outcomes.
